Lone  Working – Level 1

Course Outline

This course has been designed for individuals who work in the care sector particularly in care homes and domiciliary care settings.

Learning Outcomes for Lone Working

  • Understand the definition of a lone worker
  • Learners will understand what are the employers responsibility for their safety and wellbeing whilst working alone
  • Learners will explore and understand their responsibilities to take responsible care of themselves and other people
  • Understand some of the key risks they may encounter
  • Understand how to undertake a risk assessment periodically or when there has been a significant change in working practices
  • Understand what precautions need to be in place when working in someone’s home

  • Duration of training 2 – 3hrs
  • Learners are required to obtain 75% pass mark
  •  Learners may revisit the teat for no additional cost so long as they revisit the training material
